The Risks of Global EMF and How EMF Protection is Being Realised

Swiss Insurance Releases Report
Swiss Re, one of the world’s top insurance providers, released a new report in May this year that identifies potential insurance risks from radiation-emitting technologies. The report, “New Emerging Risk Insights,” identifies new risks discovered from the implementation of new technologies, including 5G.
Fifth-generation (5G) technologies will require more antennae and more networks, and thus, this will involve more exposure to electromagnetic frequency (EMF) radiation. This means all long-term health effects related to EMF exposure will affect potential long-term claims.
French Radiation Agency Reaffirms Report
ANSES (French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety), released a report in June this year reaffirming past studies and reports that show a link between long-term exposure to EMF fields and radiation and health problems. After reviewing evidence from its, and other, reports, the Agency reaffirmed its 2020 advice to limit exposure to EMF fields.
IARC to Review Its Original Classification
IARC (International Agency for Research on Cancer) of the World Health Organisation WHO), will again review the evidence for carcinogenicity of EMF radiation. At a meeting in March of this year, 29 scientists from 18 countries identified EMF fields and radiation as a priority issue for 2020 to 2024. A report will be released as soon as the review is completed.
In 2011, IARC classified EMF and radiofrequency radiation as a Class 2B carcinogen. As a possible carcinogen, more evidence of carcinogenicity has since been discovered.
5G Moratorium in Geneva
The Swiss Parliament in April of this year has called for a moratorium on the rollout of 5G technologies in Switzerland. MPs in Geneva voted in favour of requesting the WHO to conduct independent scientific studies on the effects of EMF radiation from 5G technologies. According to the Swiss Parliament, “The environment will be… loaded with magnetic waves… no one knows if their accumulation is harmful to health.”
Brain Damage – Study in Turkey
In a study conducted in Turkey, researchers used rats and exposed them to different frequencies of radiofrequency radiation for 2 hours a day for 6 months. They concluded that mobile phone radiation has a harmful effect on the brains of rats because the brains of the exposed rats had more damage compared to the brains of unexposed rats.
